Fundraising ideas that will draw a crowd and transform your fundraising booth into an event of memorable fun and fundraising success.
Select two or more enthusiastic people to work as Runners who will move around the venue, and a few people to tend to the fundraising booth.
Your Runners have the fun interactive job of creating a happy well-rehearsed buzz about all the exciting things that are going on at your fundraising booth. They are talking it up and moving; letting people see, taste, touch, smell, samples of the fundraising sale items available at the booth. They also will proudly be letting people know how the money raised will be put to good use by your club, school, or team.
Remember to dress like a team, wear your club colors, jerseys, or school jackets.
Decorate your booth to make it look like the event it is. Use the same colors that you and your team of Runner's are wearing. Cover your table with a table cloth, attach helium balloons to the corners, and place a boquet of fresh flowers off to the side. Be sure to decorate the walls with posters showcasing your fundraising items, and cause.
Position yourself well. Set up your fundraising booth in an area where people tend to gather, like near the concession stand.
Face painting is a super idea, it will naturally draw kids and parents to your fundraising booth.
You don't need to be a professional artist. Painting something as simple as pink hearts, happy faces, #1 sketches, daisy flowers, or stars works just fine. The kids will have a great time and completely enjoy themselves.
This is another fundraising idea which will help draw people to your booth. It is both economical and generous. Everyone will be asking where the balloons are coming from and will seek out your booth to see what is going on and to get a balloon. Attach a 'thank-you for visiting note' to each string or balloon stick.
By offering fun activities and gifts such as these you will be turning your fundraising booth to an event, and fundraising success will follow.
Combine these fundraising ideas and attractions to your next fundraising booth along with a well organized enthusiastic team and you will be assured a very successful fundraising experience.
