Fundraising ideas for Kids. A polite and well mannered child on the fundraising beat is an irresistable match for success.
Teach your child that fundraising is a fundamental part of playing on a team, helping their community, and being involved in the extra-carricular activities they love and enjoy.
Practice with your kids what they should say when they are fundraising. Practice their spiel until they feel comfortable and have memorized it fully.
Your kid's spiel should include:
1. Who their fundraiser is benefiting, and in what manner. New equipment, travel expenses, or how their favorite local charity or school will be putting the money raised to good use.
2. They should explain the all the great features and value facets of the fundraising product(s) they are selling. A cheerful sentence about how the purchase will be useful, enjoyable, or delicious will always make people smile.
3. Make sure their spiel is short, sweet, to the point, and that they are saying it with a smile. It's very important to smile at people while they are talking to them.
When adults hear a well rehearsed dialogue they will be impressed with the courage and effort your kids are portraying. Your kid's spiel will be one of the most helpful fundraising ideas they will bring to every fundraiser. It will prove successful at: fundraising tables, going door-to-door, or if they are simply planning to ask their Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, and neighbours to support them.
When your kids actively participate in fundraising it will boost their confidence and self esteem to interact in such a positive manner. Your kids will continually get better at raising funds for their activities, school, and community year-after-year.
Most importantly, you won't have to do thier fundraising for them.
